arbonn Titanium S5 is a smart phone build with a 1.2GHz quad-core
processor and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. This phone is a good
option as a entry level quad-core smart phone. There are two versions of
Karbonn Titanium S5 namely Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 and Archos 50
platinum. So if you came here to root your Karbonn Titanium S5 device
for the above mentioned versions then this tutorial is for you.
Things you need to back up: Create a backup of all the data like call log, messages, applications , music, videos and other data which is present in the phone, so that you can restore the same once the rooting process is completed.
Enable USB debugging mode (Menu (app drawer) > Settings > Developer Option > USB Debugging – check box)
Also be sure that your battery is not below 75% if not you could get your device turned off in the middle of the firmware update.
See that all your security suites like antivirus and firewalls are disabled on your computer.
Make sure you have installed Karbonn Titanium S5 USB drivers provided along with the device at purchase. (Else Download USB drivers)
Note: There are many Framaroot versions available but to Root Karbonn titanium S5 you need Framaroot1.4.1. apk and your system might have accumulated so many different types of SU libraries for testing different root methods manually erase all those and try.
Step 2: After downloading send the file to your device and install the application like any other application.
Step 3: After installation open the application and select “GANDALF Exploit“.
Step 4: Your device starts the rooting process and will be completed within few minutes.

Step 1: Download the CWM Recovery
Step 2: Download ADB and fastboot set up
Step 3: Copy the downloaded image file to the folder in your PC where you have set up ADB and fastboot.
Step 4: Rename the file to recovery.img
Step 5: Turn off your phone. Enter fastboot mode by holding the Power and Volume + button for some time.
Step 6: Release both buttons when you see a green screen on your phone.
Step 7: Plug in the phone to PC using USB cable, wait for the drivers to install and finish setting up.
Step 8: If you are in Windows XP, open command prompt and browse to the folder where you have setup ADB. Or if you are in Windows7/8, hold shift then right click in the ADB folder and click to open command prompt there.
Type this in the command prompt :
Code: fastboot devices
This should display your device name in fastboot mode, if nothing is shown, then you have to check previous steps again.
Type this command to flash CWM recovery to your phone :
Code: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
It will show the progress and completion dialogue within seconds when it finishes successfully.
Step 9: That’s it! CWM Recovery has been installed successfully.
Now you can try if CWM is working by entering recovery mode as follows :
1. Remove battery of your phone and reinsert.
2. Press Power and Volume+ buttons and keep holding it for some time.
3. When you see a green screen, you can leave the power button
4. Now you will shortly see a red screen,
5. You should see CWM now, otherwise try the whole process again. Once you are inside CWM, use your volume keys to navigate the options and power button to make selections.
6. After this install Superuser manually. You can find the apk file in the ADB folder.
7. Check your device with root checker if it is rooted or not.
